 Mrs. Bonita Parker is Chief Operating Officer for the organization, located in Rainbow/PUSH Coalition’s Headquarters office in Chicago, IL.
Prior to working for the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, Mrs. Parker was the Director of Investments and Economic Empowerment at Salem Baptist Church of Chicago where Rev., State Senator James T. Meeks is pastor. She has been a member of Salem Baptist Church of Chicago for 11 years. Prior to embarking upon her work and ministry she was co-owner of Skills For Life Training Company.
Mrs. Parker's career began as an Intern at Northern Trust Company where she gained 14 years of Banking & Investment experience. She was promoted to Second Vice-President and at the age of 30 she retired to start her own business and serve more diligently in ministry. She also, served as a finance specialist in the Army Reserve for six years. She has held several positions with Urban Financial Services and with American Bankers Association. She completed her under graduate studies in Finance at DePaul University. She is married with two children. |
