SALT LAKE CITY — The Rev. Jesse Jackson urged Utahns Thursday to "honor the American promise of equal rights and possibilities for all."

Speaking at press conference on the University of Utah campus Thursday, Jackson said the promise requires equal treatment of women, people of color and sexual orientations.
