BREAKING NEWS! Due to exciting yet extenuating circumstances with Rev Jackson’s current presence and involvement in the African nation of Nigeria, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition REGRETS that we must change the date of our media day announcing the 42nd Annual International Convention;” A More Perfect Union: 150 Years Later: Beyond Freedom Reconstruction


THURSDAYJune 6, 2013 from 9am-11am.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to Rev. Jackson having the opportunity to provide updates on the latest concerning our international convention as well as his current role as a world-renowned statesman at our media event.

The “A More Perfect Union” proclamation, initiated in 1863 to free the slaves, is the symbolic blueprint for the change we need today to free America from the social ills that hamper too many of us.

Please join the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. and invitation-only participants of the International Convention on Thursday, June 6, 2013  from 9am-11am at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition National Headquarters 930 East 50th Street Chicago, IL 60615 as they address the media to announce the many highlights of the 42nd Annual Rainbow Push Coalition International Convention.  Your attendance will be both appreciated and valued.

From July 6th through July 10th, at The Chicago Hilton and Towers Rainbow PUSH Coalition, along with the world’s renowned and brightest minds and outstanding community leaders thus game-changers, including Terry O’Neill (President of NOW /National Organization of Women), Ben Jealous (National President of The NAACP), Dr. Michele Alexander (Author of the book “The New Jim Crow”), Judge Greg Mathis, Cliff Kelley (WVON Talk Show Host), International Recording-Artist LUPE FIASCO and many more.These notables will actively explore solutions for today's leading issues regarding poverty, healthcare, voting rights, student debt, crime and violence, the prison industrial complex, home foreclosure and economic inequities.
