WHY: Racial discrimination against any person is wrong but when racial discrimination is committed against innocent little girls, it is unacceptable. On Tuesday, Aug. 9th SeaWorld released a public statement announcing its comprehensive actions to advance diversity and inclusion at Sesame Place following Rev. Jesse Jackson’s open letter which included specific demands.

Today, Rev. Jackson will meet with the CEO of SeaWorld, while attorneys for SeaWorld and Jodi Brown will meet separately to discuss ways to foster a more inclusive environment, and to avoid the reoccurrence of any form of bias, racism or offensive actions by Sesame Place or SeaWorld staff.
