The journey toward justice demands our collective strength and commitment
Dear Friends and Freedom Fighters,
The journey toward justice demands our collective strength and commitment. In the spirit of hope and healing, we are excited to announce two pivotal upcoming events as part of our ongoing mission to build a more equitable world.

Haitian Independence Day Rally
As we embark upon a new year, we are reminded of the enduring truth that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Today, our hearts and our moral responsibility turn toward Haiti – the world’s first Black republic and a beacon of liberation that, in 1804, shattered the chains of slavery to proclaim freedom for all.
Yet Haiti, a nation birthed in revolution and courage, now finds itself engulfed in a deep and devastating crisis. Ruthless gangs have seized control of much of the capital, Port-au-Prince, spreading terror through violence, extortion, and unspeakable acts of inhumanity. The people of Haiti – our brothers and sisters in the fight for justice – cry out for help.
Rainbow PUSH Coalition and the Haiti Support Project will not stand idly by while the light of liberty flickers under the weight of oppression. We are calling on President Biden to respond with urgency by sending emergency military and humanitarian aid to Haiti. This is not just a political issue; it is a moral mandate to act swiftly to save lives, protect democracy, and restore hope.
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, we will gather for Haitian Independence Day at Rainbow PUSH Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Together, with leaders like Dr. Ron Daniels and Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, we will lift our voices in a rally and forum to support Haiti and demand action from those in power.
