Saturday Morning Forum In-person Post Debate Conversation
Please join us for a special Post Debate Conversation at the Rainbow PUSH Headquarters, 930 E. 50th Street, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. This forum will feature engaging discussions with prominent voices in our community, including:
Bernetta Bush – Retired Judge
Tonie Hill - The TRIIB NEWS Organization
Jeanette Foreman - Attorney
Donna Miller – Cook County Commissioner
The Presidential debate highlighted key issues, including economic inequality and the need for stronger support for working-class families. Criminal justice reform focused on racial disparities, while education centered on equitable funding and access. Climate change was discussed through an environmental justice lens, and reproductive rights sparked debates on access to abortion and women's healthcare. Lastly, healthcare reform emphasized the need for inclusive, affordable care for marginalized communities. We will discuss these topics and more tomorrow at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition’s Saturday Morning Forum.
