Weekly Message 12/23/2024
As we approach the end of another year, the Rainbow PUSH coalition family wants to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support and partnership. To our volunteers: you make the difference! We thank you for the countless ways in which you contribute to the success of the organization. We are also incredibly proud of the concentrated efforts we are making to keep you informed of the many different ways in which Rainbow PUSH is and will continue to contribute to the well being of others and the manner in which you can contribute your time, talent and treasure to the organization.
It is with this thought process in mind, that we are thrilled to announce the release of our December 2024 Rainbow PUSH Coalition Newsletter. We invite you to take the time to view its’ rich content in which we highlight the success of some of the organization’s signature events and impact. In doing, be reminded that we remain intent on making the American Dream a reality for all citizens and advocate for peace and justice around the world. As we prepare to gather for the holiday season with family and friends, let us take this time to reflect on all that we have accomplished and use it as leverage for influencing and guiding our actions, from a programmatic and advocacy perspective in the New Year.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of all people by serving as a voice for the voiceless and to spreading joy and happiness. “I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Matthew 25:36. Our belief in this scripture is being evidenced as we maintain our tradition of engaging in the holiday service held at the Cook County Jail on Christmas Day. In honor of this day and all that it takes for the organization to continue to be of great blessing to others, we ask that you consider putting Rainbow PUSH Coalition under your tree. You may donate to the organization by visiting our website.
The New Year will be here before we know it. While taking the time to acknowledge the blessings that we have, please plan to Save the Date and mark your calendars in anticipation of attending our Day of Service and Learning on Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at 930 East 50th Street. Chicago, Illinois and the Dr. Martin Luther King Day Breakfast being held on January 20, 2025 at Solider Field beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are already available at Rainbowpush.org.
Let us all be reminded that the holiday season is not always a happy one for all of the people we know and love. Let’s continue to check on one another in between our celebrating. We’re sending you warm wishes for a joyful holiday season and we look forward to reconnecting with you in the New Year.
