Step boldly into the New Year
As we enter the New Year, we are filled with a renewed sense of purpose, strengthened by resilience, and determined to press forward on the road to justice.
On this New Year’s Eve, we recall the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863—a declaration of freedom that marked not the end of the struggle but the beginning of a long and winding journey toward equality and dignity for all.
We understand that emancipation was not a destination but a door—a threshold into a continuing fight for fairness, opportunity, and true liberation. And so, we recommit ourselves to that quest, seeking to expand our partnerships, deepen our collaborations, and unite hands and hearts with you. Together, we must make the promise of America—a land of liberty and justice for all—a living reality.
In 2025, we will stand firm on the foundation of hope and courage. We invite you to join us on this journey—walking together, striving together, and dreaming together of a future where justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

On January 18, 2025, we will kick off the weekend with a Day of Service and Learning at our headquarters in Chicago.
