Weekly Message 1/16/2025
Thank You for Your Support in Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
For the past 35 years, we have proudly brought together civic, business, government, and faith communities to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This annual King Holiday Observance has become a time of reflection, renewed commitment to Dr. King’s principles of nonviolence, equal rights, and justice, and an opportunity to refuel for the fight ahead.
This year, we are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and participation in our events. The Day of Service and Learning on January 18 is now at capacity, and the 2025 Dr. King Breakfast on January 20 is sold out.
As Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. so powerfully reminds us, “In a time of deep division and distrust in our democracy, Dr. King’s work and teachings serve as a beacon of light and guide for how to rebuild and work towards a more perfect union.” Your participation and enthusiasm for these events demonstrate the ongoing commitment of our community to Dr. King’s vision of justice, equality, and nonviolence.
While we regret that space is limited, we encourage everyone to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy and continue to carry his mission forward in your communities.
Thank you for your unwavering support of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and our shared commitment to justice and equality.
Sincerely,
Yusef D. Jackson
