32nd Annual MLK Celebration
The 32nd annual celebration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the unveiling of the 47-year historic history of PUSH Excel, the educational arm of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, will be held 6 :30 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2022, on NBC/WMAQ- TV. In honor of Dr. King’s 93rd birthday and after 62 years of fighting for social and economic justice in the civil rights movement by Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., the documentary, “PUSH Excel Journey to Excellence,” produced by Kathleen Rivera, president of the Virtual Learning Systems, Inc., illustrates the birth and importance of its mission in shaping the lives of our youth.
