I would like to share information about our company. Renee & Shimmy Transportation is a transportation service that is geared to assist those living within Chicago to have comfortable and secure transportation.
Our major focus is to assist people who lack transportation to visit correctional facilities. Unfortunately, there are people that do not have a vehicle or reliable transportation to get to their loved one(s) that are in a correctional facility. Renee & Shimmy Transportation is the solution for those people’s outlets and reliable transportation that makes getting to correctional centers easier!
Our service is on a rotated days basis where each day is a specific correctional center visit. Our van is a 15 person seater (approximately fourteen passengers/ customers per visit), so multiple passengers will be able to join. We operate Wednesday-Saturday from 5 AM- 6 PM and Sunday’s 4 AM- 6 PM. To ensure that passengers get back to Chicago at an appropriate time, our visitation for our passengers is from 8 AM- 2:30 PM for all correctional centers (some visitations may vary).
Our departure time is based on the time to the destination which can be as early as 6 AM to start driving out to the facility. On a selective day, we can go as far three- four hours away (ex. Vandalia Correctional Center) plus the same time heading back to Chicago.
